New blog!

I have been making cupcakes for quite some time now, but within the past couple of months I have sold them for birthdays, baby showers, wedding, etc. I figured since I am getting busier with this, that I would create a blog for my cupcakes that included what flavors I have made and the cost of the cupcakes. So, if you ever need somebody to make cupcakes for your events, please feel free to call me! You will not be disappointed!

Cure for grumpiness

I am kind of grumpy today. So I asked Gracey how I can be happy and not grumpy anymore and she looks at me and raises her eyebrows and smiles and shows me that that is how I can be happy. Haha! That definitely lightened my mood!

Update on the house!

Wow! I just looked at the last time I updated my blog and it has been way too long. Well to catch you all up, our house will probably be done getting stuccoed by the end of next week! We are supposed to close on it June 15th! I. cant. wait!!!!!

Girls' funnies

Gracey got a little bit of a cold the other day and I needed to go to the store. I told her that she should probably stay home with daddy because she is sick. She then replied, "I am not sick, I am just not feeling good..."

Haha! Made us laugh. :)


Audrey drew a picture for her friend Alex at school and forgot to give it to him yesterday. After she came home from school Gracey reminded her that she forgot his "pixta," and Audrey said, "Shoot I forgot to give my husband his picture." Haha! She is convinced that she and Alex are going to get married. :) Funny girl.

Random thoughts

I was going through one of my email accounts deleting emails and I found an email where somebody left a comment on my craft blog that I have. So I was browsing through the blog because it has been a super long time since I updated it and I noticed a bunch of people commented on different posts. It made me feel so good. They all had such nice things to say. Gosh....now I feel like a horrible "blogger," for not responding to their comments. Especially because they think so highly of my blog. There was another lady who featured one of my science experiment posts on her blog and I had no idea. I have just been a real slacker in the blogging world lately. I have been using instagram to post my pictures lately. It's just so convenient. I do need to be better at blogging though.

Looking through my craft blog also made me realize that I have not done crafts with my girls for a long time. I really haven't. It's so weird. I don't know what happened to me but I really should get back into the whole craft thing again.

We have a foundation!

They poured the foundation to our house a few days ago! We are so excited! It's funny how one can be so excited about foundation! Haha!

We have a hole and footings!

They dug our hole for our house the other day and then put the footings in! We are sooooo excited! Like, this is our house they are working on. Weirdest but coolest feeling ever! :)  I still can't believe it is happening! We are beyond excited and can't wait for it to be done!

I conceded..

I decided to concede. I decided that not knowing where he hid the letters would bug me. So I hesitantly gave up. It was a sad sad day for me. Just thought you all would like to know.


He hid one in the fan vent in the bathroom

He hid another black letter under his black desk that has almost no space for you to put your hands in there to even look.

He hid the other one in our filing cabinet at the very bottom hidden under a book that was laying flat.

He hid the last one in our bag full of Grocery bags in the laundry room.


I would have never been able to find them so I am really glad that I gave up.

Update on my letters

Well, today is the day that I have to make a decision about my letter hunt.  If I decide to keep looking and don't find them he will pull them out when I am not home and will not tell me where he hid them. If I decide to give up today then he will show me where he hid them.


I think I have made up my mind.......

I think I decided to keep looking for them. Haha! It kills me to say that because I am seriously doubting they are even in my house and I am having doubts that I will find them. I just don't want to give up! haha! I can't let him win again! Oh and he just says they are somewhere in Utah. Haha! That man....


Ps. I really am having fun with this! I look forward to this every year. :) I just wish I would win already! Hahah!

I have a dilemma...

Do any of you remember these?





Well....the search is on again! Haha! But Brandon is not being fair at all. He thinks that because it's his game he can just make up rules as he pleases. Not fair right?! I think it's because he is really scared I am going to find them soon and so he has to make up new rules to make it so that I don't find them. So mean! haha!


The incentive to finding these letters is shopping...again! Anyways, I found two of the letters pretty easily. So then I was in search of the other two. Well, he thought it would be funny to re-hide those letters that I found and count them as bonus letters. I...have not been able to find these letters anywhere. Either he is really great at hiding them or I am really terrible at finding them....or both! hahaha!

Seriously, his new rule now is if I don't find them before the 14th then he will pull them out when I am not home and will not tell me where he hid them. Or he said I can concede by Monday and he will tell me where he put them. So not fair huh?

Anyways, because of the competitiveness that is in me, I have to find these letters! But it will seriously bug me so bad that I organized, cleaned, and went through so much to find these letters and just to find out that I don't know where he hid them.

Smarty pants

Audrey has memorization skills like you wouldn't believe. That girl will learn something and remember it so well. She will be reading a book and if it's an easy book and she has read it a few times she will have it memorized. She knows the tree song that they sing at the end of  "The Lorax," almost word for word. She was singing it to us last night and knew almost the whole song. Once she puts her mind to something that is when she can do some really amazing things!

This is definitely one of her talents she has. I love that I get to help her discover her talents! It's so fun to watch and learn the things she is talented at!  

I just love her so much and am so glad she is part of our family! Life would not be the same without her!

PS. I don't by any means write these things down to make any of you jealous or to gloat.  I write them down for me and so that I can remember all of these fun stories and learning experiences! I want the girls to be able to look back on these moments and realize how important and smart, and beautiful they really are! 

My little hoot!

Gracey is a little hoot! Seriously! And she loves when we laugh at the things she says. And when we laugh at the things she says she will try to say and do other things that she knows will make us laugh.

We sat down and all had ice cream last night and we were talking about her friend Paisley. I can't remember how it got brought up. But we were just saying that Paisley is not in her nursery anymore because they had to split her nursery because of so many kids. And she said to us, "Yeah...paisley is not in my nursery anymore because she has a cold." Then I told her she came up with a great idea. I said that they should have a nursery class for the sick kids and then one for the non-sick kids! Haha! Just the way that she tells her stories makes them so funny! It's one of those times you had to be there. :) I wrote this down because I know I will laugh at it later!

You know how people do "knuckles," or "pounds," or "high fives?" Well Gracey came up with her own little signature. First off I just have to tell you that she has quite the imagination. Seriously, she will just randomly come up with random things that she will do or say. It's so funny and seriously so smart to watch her be creative like that. Anyways, we were at Scheels last night and we were walking and she just randomly says here mom I want to give you stamps. So I held my hand out and she gave us stamps on the top of our hands! So she would just softly smack her hand on top of ours. So instead of "knuckles," Gracey does "Stamps." Hahaha! That girl is so funny!

Like I was saying, her favorite thing to do right now is pretend play. If we pretend play with her she will be so happy. When we were in the car yesterday she pretended to give us candy canes. She thinks it's so funny when we pretend we are eating it! But she will randomly do that!


She came running into my room yesterday and says to me while grinning, "You just don't understand mom."
Hahaha! I said to her "What don't I understand?" and she says "I nuh know (I don't know)," and then laughs. Haha! She really makes me laugh so much. And I am not even exaggerating when I say that she says and does so many things each day that it is almost impossible to write everything down! I just adore that little girl!

Flick flick

We were eating dinner tonight (I look forward to dinner because that is when we all really bond the most and the girls will say some of the funniest things too.) Anyways, the girls were saying how they wanted to watch a movie after dinner and Gracey said "I want to watch a flick flick (Chick flick)." Haha! I am pretty sure she was inspired by Audrey because Audrey wanted to watch a chick flick earlier today too.

Audrey's boyfriend.

We were in the car tonight and Audrey was telling me about Alex in her preschool and how he is her best friend. Then she proceeded to tell me that she lifted him up today at school and said "But I told him he was heavy and we started laughing." So then....(It gets better) she said, "Uh...I just like Alex so much I just want to marry him." Hahahaha! Then she told me that when you like a boy in preschool, that is who you are going to marry.

I guess time will only tell miss Audrey!

Incredible gifts of women!

I was at the library the other day and went to the church section and I found this book "The incredible gifts of women."

It really is such a great book! I have cried many times reading it and it gave me a sense of hope too and that I really am worthy of these gifts and that Heavenly Father really truly does love me! I really felt the spirit testify to me of the importance of this life and the importance of trials and the blessings that come from trials we face in our lives. Heavenly Father did not give us trials we go through because He wanted to be mean and wanted us to suffer. He gave each of us personal trials that He knows we can overcome. He has so much faith in us and knows we are stronger than we think we are.  We just have to learn these things for ourself to understand the unwaivering love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for us. For some it may be learning to be closer to Heavenly Father. For some it may be that we face trials because we need to put more trust in the Lord. For some it may be that we need to have more faith. He wants us to do amazing things in this life and learn from our trials. The lessons we learn from trials are so important because not only does it affect us but it may be something you need to go through to help somebody else in their life. I think it's so amazing that we can go through a trial, learn from it, and be a good example to those who may be facing the same trials. Once we understand why we go through hard times in our life you will truly understand the perfect love He has for us. He LOVES everyone, no matter the mistakes you have made. All he wants is for us to turn to him and ask in faith...."Heavenly Father, are you there?" And you will find out that he has always been there and is waiting for you to turn to him!


Heavenly Father is perfect! Christ is perfect! This is gospel is so perfect!

We are building a home!

We are building a home! We are so excited and seriously cannot wait for it to be done! We are at the beginning stages of it all. We picked out our lot and our colors for the interior and exterior part of the house. They will start digging in about a week. That is when reality will really hit! It's still so weird to say that we are building a house. It does not even seem real yet. But, after 8 years we are done with apartment living. We cannot wait to make this house our home and create many memories in this home! I am so excited!
