Smarty pants

Audrey has memorization skills like you wouldn't believe. That girl will learn something and remember it so well. She will be reading a book and if it's an easy book and she has read it a few times she will have it memorized. She knows the tree song that they sing at the end of "The Lorax," almost word for word. She was singing it to us last night and knew almost the whole song. Once she puts her mind to something that is when she can do some really amazing things!

This is definitely one of her talents she has. I love that I get to help her discover her talents! It's so fun to watch and learn the things she is talented at!

I just love her so much and am so glad she is part of our family! Life would not be the same without her!

PS. I don't by any means write these things down to make any of you jealous or to gloat. I write them down for me and so that I can remember all of these fun stories and learning experiences! I want the girls to be able to look back on these moments and realize how important and smart, and beautiful they really are!

Amanda and Chad said...: i know i don't comment a whole lot on your blog anymore..seems like i'm always in a hurry when reading blogs and don't take the time anymore..but i just have to comment and tell you that i love reading your blog and hearing all your cute stories about audrey and gracey. everytime i read it i always think "i need to be a better blogger like lisa and write down all the cute things my girls say and do." they will love reading back on your posts one day! and i love that you put you hope people don't feel like you put that stuff to act better or to make anyone jealous because i constantly will wonder if i should hold back on some of the stuff i write because i don't want to sound "better" or make people think i am so stuck up. but, then i'm like seriously? this is MY blog and i'm not going to hold back because this is for MY KIDS and i want them to know how proud i am of them and how beautiful and smart they are. JUST LIKE YOU SAID :) i love reading about audrey because she reminds me so so much of paislee... just a sweet, caring, sensitive 5 year old who is so darn smart {and the lorax part made me laugh because paislee is really into those songs right now too}! and gracey's stories just crack me up! ok.. so this comment was all over the place and super long.. Tyler Brent Gearhart (Bodie) Tyler Brent Gearhart, age 23, was called home Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Ogden, Utah. He was born February 17, 1986 to R. Michael and Lou Ann Turville Gearhart in Salt Lake City, Utah. He fought a courageous battle with drug addiction. Tyler had a loving personality and was loved by all who knew him. He had a contagious smile and a wonderful laugh. His quick whit and sense of humor captured everyone's love. Tyler loved his family, friends and his two dogs. He especially loved family gatherings. He was a very respectful young man, always saying please and thank you. He was always a very caring person by putting others first. Tyler graduated from Copper Hills High School in 2004. He loved all sports, especially football, basketball and snowboarding. Tyler was a true fan of the Oakland Raiders. Tyler is survived by his parents and three brothers and three sisters. Corey, Holly (Troy) Johnson, Jamie (Gene) Slater, Michael, Shawn and Lisa (Brandon) Robbins. He has nine nieces and nephews and a very special friend Tehra Dunn. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain Shadows 4th Ward Chapel, 8136 Old Bingham Hwy. West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. and Monday, May 4, 2009 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at the West Jordan City Cemetery. About Audrey

Audrey was born at 4 pounds 14 ounces. She was just a little one. She might be small but she is a really strong girl. Audrey is a bit stubborn these days. She still likes to do things her way and when it is more convenient for her. She is very independent. We can't force her to do anything because than she won't do it. She is ready when she is ready and that is how it has always been since before she was born. She was born 3 weeks early, but came when she was ready. If she keeps this up, life is going to be hard for us (Brandon and I) when she gets older, it already is and she is only 3. :) We love her so much and would not change her for anything and are so glad she is a part of our family. We can't imagine life without little Miss. She has definitely kept us on our toes!

About Gracey

Oh , our sweet sweet Gracey. I call her Sweet girl because she really is so sweet. She was born a couple of weeks early but gave us a scare at 34 weeks when I started having consistent contractions and was dilated to a 3. Luckily she decided to wait a bit longer. When she decided to come she didn't wait long. I was in labor for 5 hours, almost 3 of which were at home. She made it so easy for me and oddly enough that is what kind of a baby she is. She is easy going and happy and smiles so much!! I love her so much!!!
